17 march | aint patrick’s day

A Local Review Body in Central Scotland has granted planning permission, for an agricultural worker’s dwellinghouse, on a farm adjacent to the M9. Members of the LRB overturned the Planning Officer’s original decision, and dismissed the evidence of its ‘specialist’ (Patrick thomson). Officers and Patrick argued that no viable agricultural business existed and that there was insufficient animals to justify a farmhouse.

Euan FS Pearson FRGS MRTPI MRICS gave written and oral evidence at a Hearing, answering Members questions. Members undertook a visit to the Farm, observed the extensive husbandry and accepted Pearson’s arguments. The client celebrated, and Patrick was driven back to Rumbling Bridge.

A subsequent freedom of information request revealed that officers paid patrick’s employer almost £7,000 for his ‘specialist’ advice. there will, no doubt, be furious residents in the falkirk area at this frittering. the council agreed in march 2025 to increase council tax by 15.6% to cover its deficit.

If you have aN agricultural holding in the British islands countryside: why not ask Pearson Planning, Chartered Surveyors for advice? They will do the best to help, “to be sure”
