Stratford-on-Avon Council has granted permission to allow continued stacking of modular accommodation units at a factory site in Studley, Warks. Pearson Planning, Chartered Surveyors represented leading provider SIBCAS. Original objections to the practise by local residents have been overcome through discussion with Council Officers. Due to downturn in the construction sector, slower rental patterns has resulted in more modular units having to be stored at the company’s factory. Pearson Planning has obtained temporary permission (until 2016) increasing storage capacity by 35%.

Increasing (again) authority revenues is not the solution. The vast majority of applications are determined by individual Officers (many of which have no professional qualifications) without the right of appeal. This needs to stop. SNP Government spending for 2023-2024 had a negative fiscal balance of -£22 billion. This must stop.
