Value of Home in ‘Heart of Lothian’ Significantly Increased

Pearson Planning, Chartered Surveyors (proverbial market square heroes) has increased the value of a Holding, by obtaining a Certificate of Lawfulness.
A private client had carried out works, over a number of years, to a large Workshop building, in the curtilage of their house, near Haddington.
The end result was conversion of the building into a: dwellinghouse, office and garage.
These works required planning permission, and the local authority could have taken enforcement action, under the Planning Acts.
Obtaining the Certificate now means that no enforcement action can be taken, and the converted building can be sold as a separate resident property.
The client has now placed the entire Holding on the market, and is seeking (significantly larger) offers over £495,000.
The Holding is located close to the recording studios of former Marillion singer, Fish.
